HVAC Maintenance Plans in Rathdrum
A maintenance plan gets your heating and cooling checked before each season, not after it quits. We inspect, clean and test the equipment. Then we tell you what we found in plain words, with nothing pushed on you.

How Regular Tune-Ups Save You Money
Big breakdowns usually start small. A plugged condensate line, a grimy flame sensor or a capacitor losing strength can sit unnoticed for months until the system quits. A tune-up catches those parts while they're still cheap to fix.
We start every visit by inspecting the whole system. We write down what we see, point out parts that are wearing and tell you straight what needs attention now and what can hold. If everything checks out, we say so and leave.
Plans run from $14.99 a month and include tune-ups, discounts on repairs and priority scheduling, which counts most when the first cold snap fills our phones. Your furnace gets its visit before winter and your AC or heat pump before summer, so problems show up ahead of Rathdrum's first hard freeze instead of during it.
What We Do at Each Tune-Up
- Furnace safety
- We look over the heat exchanger, burners, igniter and flame sensor. We check for carbon monoxide at the furnace and make sure the flue drafts properly.
- AC or heat pump side
- At the outdoor unit we clean the coil fins, check refrigerant pressures and meter the capacitor and contactor. Those two small parts cause many of the no-cooling calls we see in July.
- Wiring and thermostat
- We snug up loose connections, check how many amps the motors draw and compare the thermostat reading to the real air temperature in your rooms.
- Drain line and filter
- We flush the condensate line so it won't back up and shut the system down. We look at your filter and show you the right size and type.
- Findings on paper
- You get a written list of every check and what it showed. If a repair is needed, the price comes in writing first, and no work starts until you've read it and agreed.
- Plan member benefits
- Members pay less on repairs and get scheduled first during our busiest stretches.
Signs Your System Is Due for Maintenance
No service in over a year
If you cannot remember the last tune-up, it has been too long. Dust and wear build up quietly.
Higher energy bills
A dirty coil or a struggling blower motor makes the system run longer for the same comfort. The bill shows it before you feel it.
Short, choppy run times
If the system starts, runs a few minutes, shuts off and then starts again, something is off. A dirty flame sensor, a failing thermostat or low refrigerant can all do it. All those extra starts wear parts out fast.
Sounds or odors that are new
A squeal from the blower, a rattle inside the cabinet or a burnt smell that hangs around after the first few minutes of the season deserves a check.
Uneven rooms
One room is always colder or hotter than the rest. Sometimes it is airflow at the equipment, sometimes the thermostat, and an inspection tells us which.
What Affects Your Plan Cost
Your plan price comes down to the equipment in your home and how many pieces we look after. Tell us what you have and we will give you a free quote by phone. Any repair we find during a visit gets its own written quote before work starts.
Number of systems
A furnace and AC take two visits a year. A second system, a heat pump plus a backup furnace or several mini-split heads add time.
Type of equipment
Gas furnaces, heat pumps and ductless mini-splits each have different parts to check and clean.
Age and condition
Older equipment often needs more cleaning and testing to get a clear picture of where it stands.
Where the equipment sits
A furnace tucked in a cramped crawlspace or attic, or an outdoor unit boxed in by a fence, takes more time to reach and work on safely.
How a Plan Visit Goes
- 1
We set the visit
We schedule your fall furnace visit and spring cooling visit ahead of time. Members get priority when the calendar fills up.
- 2
Inspection first
The tech walks the system from the thermostat to the outdoor unit and tests before touching anything. Nothing gets replaced at this point.
- 3
Cleaning and adjustments
We clean what needs cleaning, tighten what is loose and make small adjustments that are part of the tune-up.
- 4
Plain findings
We go over the results with you, show photos of anything worn and give you a written quote on any repair. You choose what happens next, and we clean up before we go.

Questions About Our Maintenance Plans
My furnace is fairly new. Is a plan still worth it?
Usually, yes. New equipment still collects dust, and its drain line can still plug. Many manufacturers also expect yearly service before they cover parts, so a tune-up record is good to keep.
Will you push a replacement every time you come out?
No. We tell you what we see. A worn part gets shown to you with a written repair quote. A healthy system gets a clean report, and we go.
What if the system fails between tune-ups?
Call us. Plan members get bumped up the schedule and a lower repair price. Nights and weekends are covered by our 24/7 emergency HVAC repair, with no emergency or after-hours fees.
Can a plan cover a heat pump or mini-split?
It can. Heat pumps and ductless mini-splits can go on a plan alongside furnaces and central AC. Mini-split indoor heads and filters need cleaning so they keep heating well when it's cold.
Where do you offer plans?
